Class: Monday – Friday at 1:45- 2:30 pm (9-12 grade), 2:00 pm -2:30 pm (7-8 grade)

Course Description:

This course is designed as a performance-based class. Students will explore music and develop techniques and skills through a variety of genres, eras, and cultures as well as through the study of music theory fundamentals. In our daily rehearsals we will prepare music for performance in a public concert setting. Also, we will utilize our gift of music to bring together the community through solo & ensemble performances.

Course Description:

This course is not intended for concert performances. The goal is to learn a musical instrument for each student's enjoyment. For example, learning Happy Birthday on the saxophone or learning their favorite movie score, pop and rock song on their preferred instrument.

Class: Twice a week at 11:00-11:20 am (4th grade), 12:25-12:45 pm (5th-6th grade)

Course Description:

Elementary band is divided by 4th grade(Beginner) and 5th and 6th grade (Intermediate) levels. The program was set up with one group lesson arranged by instrument and one ensemble per week. Students will develop techniques specific to their instrument and study music theory fundamentals. Performances are scheduled for usually 2 main school concerts per year. All students will also be expected to participate in solo & ensemble performances.
